Big Air is a freestyle event in skiing and snowboarding where athletes launch off a huge jump to perform one trick per run. Judges score each attempt for difficulty, amplitude, execution, and landing. In finals, riders usually get two or three jumps, and the best one or two scores count. Variety matters—athletes often spin both directions or use different grabs. The goal is a massive, cleanly landed trick with high technical difficulty.
