Martin Longhitano is an Australian freestyle skier from Perisher known for his creative park and jib skiing. He has been featured in video parts and competes in non-traditional freestyle events like the Jib League, where format and style are emphasized rather than strict judged competition. His skiing style is old-school twin tip friendly, often opting for skis and gear that reflect his love for the roots of park skiing rather than the newest technology. He has also guided in Europe, showing that his life pivots between professional work in guiding and his passion for skiing and content creation. He has been part of local competitions (like those held at Thredbo) where he has had successes (for example winning “Freeride on the Bluff” in the Open Men category). Through video content, park tours, and engaging with brands like Ski Addiction, he’s building a profile among the freeride/park community in Australia, blending local prominence with growing international interest.
Perisher is the largest ski resort in Australia, located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales inside Kosciuszko National Park. It comprises four linked areas — Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Blue Cow, and Guthega — together offering a very large skiable terrain served by dozens of lifts, terrain for beginners through advanced, snow parks, cross-country trails, and modern amenities. The resort’s elevation ranges from around 1,720 meters at base to just over 2,050 meters at the highest lifted point. The ski season generally runs from June through early October, depending on weather and snow cover. Perisher is accessible by road or via the Skitube (a rack railway) which helps with access especially in winter. It has many terrain parks, a superpipe, several high-speed lifts, and a good mix of slopes: many intermediate runs, decent beginner terrain, and some more challenging options. Snowmaking and grooming are used to maintain snow quality. The resort also caters to families, offers lodging, dining, and is part of the Epic Australia pass network under Vail Resorts.
Ski Addiction is a rider-owned company based in Whistler, British Columbia, focused on helping skiers of all levels improve via coaching, tutorials and training equipment. Their key products are Tramp Skis, used on trampolines to practice grabs, spins, and aerial awareness safely off snow. They also offer “Jib Series” gear, training mats, balance bars, and tutorial content designed to build muscle memory and confidence. Their approach is functional, creative, and user-friendly, orienting toward fun and progression rather than just competition. Although founded in 2012, their leap into serious training tools came in 2017 with the launch of their trampoline training skis & bindings. They maintain a presence via social media, video tutorials, and they have begun collaborating on pro-model items (for example with well-known skiers). Their mission is “Helping you ski better”, and their target community are freestylers, park skiers, and anyone wanting to refine style, tricks, or technique off-snow.
